Creekside in the News
The children who will be
attending Creekside Elementary School in the fall have selected their
mascot and colors. In an election conducted on Friday, April 25 at the
YMCA, the children voted on their choices after impassioned speeches by
the 4th graders who were part of the nominating process. The decision
was announced on May 1.
Creekside Coyotes won with Cougars and Chipmunks coming in second and
third. One would expect those clever coyotes to find a way to win!
Evelyn Smojver, the Creekside principal, is working with a graphics
artist to create the coyote logo for the school. The school colors will
be blue and grey. The CAFE parents group will be putting together a plan
for Creekside Coyote apparel as soon as we have the specs.
Go Creekside Coyotes!!
Keep Up With CAFE
The CAFE will meet regularly on the 4th
Tuesday of every month at 6:30 with a members meeting followed by a
board meeting. The meeting will be at the Market Street Diner until the
new school is open. The August meeting will be incorporated into the
ribbon-cutting and Ready-Set-Go at the school site.
